When will Public Health Wales publish its next Screening Division Inequity Report given that Public Health Wales’s Screening Equity Strategy 2022-2025 committed to publishing an annual screening inequity report to update on its progress tackling inequity, but only two reports in 2022 and 2023 have been published?
Public Health Wales (PHW) plans to deliver a refreshed Screening Equity Strategy to reduce inequity in uptake of screening as part of a cross-organisational approach to health inequalities and in collaboration with local health board and third sector partners in 2025-26. This will replace the current Screening Equity Strategy.
The most recent Screening Division Inequity Report was published in December 2024. PHW has committed to publishing an annual inequity report. The next report is expected to be published December 2025.
PHW is responsible for managing the resources within its core allocation which includes funding for screening services.
