We published a National Workforce Implementation Plan (NWIP) in January 2023. The strategic workforce implementation board is considering lessons learned in the development and implementation of the plan, including options around the next iteration.
Healthcare students in Wales are already able to take advantage of the NHS Wales Bursary, which pays their tuition fees, provides a non-means-tested grant and a means-tested bursary. They are also able to supplement this with a maintenance loan from Student Finance.
