What action is the Welsh Government taking to promote the safe use of fireworks?

Answered by Deputy Minister for Housing and Local Government | Answered on 04/11/2020

Regulation of the use of fireworks is not a devolved matter.  However, we support and fund the Fire and Rescue Service to promote firework and bonfire safety as part of its arson reduction programme.

That is especially important this year, as there will be no organised public displays during the Firebreak period.  People may use fireworks on their own private property if they wish, but they should always follow the Firework Code; and multi-household gatherings for this or any other purpose are of course not permitted during the Firebreak.
