Will the Minister release the guidance provided by the Chief Nursing Officer for health boards in Wales relating to pregnancy?

Answered by Minister for Health and Social Services | Answered on 01/10/2020

During the pandemic evolving evidence within maternity care has been examined at a UK level jointly by the Royal College of Midwives (RCM) and Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG).  Welsh Government has advised health boards to base decisions on maternity care provision utilising the latest evidence from RCM/RCOG guidance which has been continually updated throughout the pandemic https://www.rcog.org.uk/en/guidelines-research-services/guidelines/coronavirus-pregnancy/

The Chief Nursing Officer has published supplementary maternity visiting guidance on 15 July 2020 https://gov.wales/hospital-visiting-during-coronavirus-outbreak-guidance.
