Will the Minister provide a progress report on bringing TVR to Rassau industrial estate?
Significant progress has been made to bring TVR to the Rassau Industrial Estate and we recognise the opportunity associated with its planned move to the region. We have secured an Agreement to Lease between the Welsh Government and the building owner to allow for the proposed refurbishment of the Techboard building on the Rassau Industrial Estate. We are in detailed discussions with a potential building contractor regarding the refurbishment works required.
We continue to work with TVR whilst it has ongoing discussions to secure the private sector finance needed to begin production. My officials continue to meet with company senior executives on a regular basis to review progress and TVR have indicated that it is their aim to start vehicle production in Q4, 2020.
