What percentage of people accessing pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) in Wales are from black, Asian and minority ethnic communities?
Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) has been provided by NHS Wales for almost two years and is fully embedded in service provision. Over 1,000 people have accessed PrEP during this time and there have been no new cases of HIV in this cohort. I am pleased to say that new cases of HIV remain firmly on a downward trend in Wales. I will update Members further as soon as new data is available.
