The flood programme is prioritised according to flood risk. NRW is the responsible authority for managing risk from main rivers and the sea and the case for alleviation work along Roath Brook watercourse came through NRWs programme board as a priority scheme, taking into account historic flooding and near-misses, detailed flood models and the Communities at Risk Register.
