In light of considerable evidence that has emerged deeming tree felling in Roath Brook Gardens to be unnecessary, will the Cabinet Secretary reconsider the decision not to meet with local residents concerned by the impacts of the works?

I met with elected representatives on Tuesday 9 January. As you will know, from the explanation of the scheme given by NRW at the meeting, the tree felling forms a key part of the works. However, NRW have continued discussions with residents, meeting again on Monday 15th January, and have agreed to look at the possibility of saving additional trees without compromising the level of protection required for the community.
