National Assembly for Wales

This Senedd:
1. Notes that:
a) hospices in Wales support thousands of children and adults affected by terminal illness each year;
b) palliative care needs are forecast to rise considerably over the next 25 years; and
c) palliative and end-of-life care are a critical part of the health and care system.
2. Recognises the hard work carried out by all care givers in the sector.
3. Calls on the Welsh Government to work with health boards, care providers and other relevant stakeholders to develop a new, sustainable funding model for palliative and end-of-life care.
