National Assembly for Wales

This Senedd:
1. Notes that suicide is the biggest killer of men and women under 35 in the UK.
2. Recognises that many of those who die by suicide are not in contact with mental health services a year before their death.
3. Welcomes the Baton of Hope’s visit to Cardiff on 1 July 2023, promoting the message, “Where there is hope, there is a real opportunity to save lives”.
4. Encourages the Welsh Government to take further action on suicide awareness and prevention initiatives.
