National Assembly for Wales

This Senedd:

1. Supports the UK Online Safety Bill as an urgent child protection measure to introduce a regulatory system to respond to unprecedented levels of grooming and child sexual abuse online.

2. Recognises that children have a right to be safe online and the onus cannot be on the child to be resilient or keep themselves safe.

3. Recognises that in Wales, 200+ children will be victims of online sexual abuse in every month the Online Safety Bill is delayed according to NSPCC research.

4. Expresses support for the passage of the legislation without dilution of any child protection measures or further delay
