National Assembly for Wales

This Senedd:

1. Welcomes 19-25 September 2022 as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) Week.

2. Notes that IPF is a rare, incurable, life-limiting disease-causing progressive scarring of the lungs with a median survival of just three years.

3. Notes that pulmonary rehabilitation can contribute significantly to improve quality of life.

4. Supports the work of Asthma + Lung UK Cymru and the CPG on Lung Health in raising awareness of IPF and other lung conditions.

5. Calls on the Welsh Government to bring forward a respiratory quality statement to ensure people with IPF have access to appropriate treatment and support.
