OPIN-2021-0223 New charges for HSBC Clubs and Community Bank Account holders

This Senedd:
1. Notes the importance of community groups, clubs, and small charities in supporting our communities.
2. Believes that affordable and convenient access to banking services is central to their ability to be effective in our communities.
3. Is concerned by HSBC Bank plc’s decision to unilaterally move HSBC Clubs and Community Bank Account holders to the Charitable Bank Account which charges £60 annually.
4. Is dismayed that the Charitable Bank Account will also charge customers to deposit and withdraw funds at a bank branch or Post Office.
5. Calls on HSBC Bank Plc to reverse its decision.
