OPIN-2020-0168 Childcare for Key Workers (e) Tabled on 02/07/2020

This Senedd:

a. notes the huge and incalculable contribution that has been and continues to be played by Key Workers during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

b. recognises the continued need for childcare for some key workers during the school summer holidays, in particular NHS and Social Care staff who are also involved in vital work to catch up on NHS activity suspended during the pandemic.

c. calls on Welsh Government to provide urgent clarity and funding to local authorities to enable them to offer appropriate childcare provision for essential key workers who need it during the school holidays.
