This Senedd:
1. Welcomes International Fathers Mental Health Day (22 June 2020).
2. Recognises one in ten dads experience perinatal mental health problems, which have intensified during Covid-19, but are often overlooked.
3. Notes that without the right support, mental health issues for fathers makes it hard to connect with and care for their baby.
4. Supports NSPCC’s ‘Fight for a Fair Start’ campaign which aims for all parents to access perinatal mental health support so all babies can have a fair start.
5. Calls on Welsh Government to ensure new/expectant fathers are offered perinatal mental health assessments and support.
