What support does the Welsh Government offer men with prostate cancer?
The NHS offers men a comprehensive package of care and support for the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer. This includes symptom-based referral for suspected prostate cancer and GP-led advice for men concerned about their risk of prostate cancer. Our strategic approach focuses on improving the timeliness of investigation and treatment, as measured by the cancer waiting time.
Will the First Minister provide an update on the upgrade of the core Valley lines, including the Treherbert line in Rhondda?
The transformation of the Core Valley Lines continues at pace. Passengers on the Treherbert line are benefiting from brand-new trains, better services and upgraded stations.
Further improvements are coming, with December’s timetable change bringing a major connectivity boost to our valley communities. Brand-new tram trains will be introduced to the line from next year as Transport for Wales works towards delivering a true turn-up-and-go Metro service.
What assessment has the Welsh Government made of the impact of the UK Government’s autumn budget on working-age adults in Mid and West Wales?
We welcome measures which put money back into the pockets of working people. We welcome the increases in the national minimum and national living wage and the significant economic investments in Wales – in nuclear energy and AI growth zones - which will create new jobs and boost our economy.
