What is the Welsh Government doing to support the 41st Worldchefs Congress and Expo 2026?
We are supporting the forty-first Worldchefs Congress and Expo 2026 with a showcase promoting Welsh food and drink to its international audience. Organisers estimate the event could generate over 5,000 bed nights and potential trade opportunities for food and drink businesses in Wales.
Will the Cabinet Secretary provide an update on the delivery of the Sustainable Farming Scheme ?
I published a sustainable farm scheme description in July. Full scheme and technical guidance for the universal layer will be published by the end of this year. Rural Payments Wales is on track for the scheme to go live in January 2026.

How is the Government ensuring that the council tax premium on second homes is used to create affordable homes?
Council tax premiums are discretionary and local authorities may use the additional revenue generated for any purpose. They are encouraged to use the revenue to help meet local housing needs and are expected to be transparent about how the funds are used.
What is the Welsh Government doing to help Welsh learners feel more confident using the language in daily life?
All Cymraeg 2050 partners play an important role in helping Welsh learners feel confident using their Cymraeg. We work closely with the National Centre for Learning Welsh, the Welsh Language Commissioner, mentrau iaith and many more to create opportunities for learners to build their confidence in using their Welsh in day-to-day situations.
How will the Cabinet Secretary ensure that the Welsh Government’s draft budget supports economic growth across Wales?
The outline draft budget published on October 14 provided £830 million of funding for the economy, energy and planning main expenditure group. In total we are investing more than £27 billion in Wales, building on the record levels of investment in 2025-26 that put us firmly back on the path to growth.
