The Welsh Government continues to prioritise value for money in all of our spending, in line with the principles of 'Managing Welsh Public Money'. It is an integral part of our financial processes and is a key consideration for each Cabinet Secretary in managing their own portfolios.
What discussions has the Cabinet Secretary had with Industry Wales regarding their accounts in light of the Auditor General for Wales stating he is unable to provide an opinion on them?
The Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy and Planning and her officials meet regularly with Industry Wales to discuss its work on behalf of the Welsh Government. On the matter of the auditor general’s report, Industry Wales has implemented all recommendations and is confident in its robust future accounts procedures.

What discussions has the Cabinet Secretary had with Transport for Wales regarding the north-west Cardiff corridor rail link?
Transport for Wales are aware of Cardiff Council's ambition to deliver a north-west corridor rail link as outlined in their transport White Paper. We are working closely with Cardiff Council as they develop their proposals for phase 1a of the Cardiff Crossrail project between Cardiff Central station and the bay.
What assessment has the Welsh Government made of the impact of the weight restrictions on the M48 Severn bridge and roadworks on the Prince of Wales Bridge on local businesses and road infrastructure?
My officials are working with National Highways to help minimise the impacts of the implementation of the 7.5 tonne weight limit on the first Severn bridge. Traffic data shows there will be a daily increase of 3,000/3,500 heavy goods vehicles on the M4 diversion route.
How is the Welsh Government improving rail services in Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire?
Brand-new trains are now in regular operation across Wales, including Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire. Transport for Wales has increased the number of services to Milford Haven and is boosting capacity on key tourist routes by adding two additional services between Carmarthen and Tenby over the summer months.
How is the Government improving access to public transport for young people in South Wales East?
We are improving public transport access with the continued enhancements to the south Wales metro. We are also improving our bus fares offer for young people through our forthcoming scheme to offer £1 fares for single journeys and £3 cap on multiple journeys in a day.
