What is the Welsh Government's policy on the management of areas of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) in Wales?

AONBs play an important role in protecting and enhancing our environment in Wales. Welsh Government has provided significant extra funding and resources to AONBs in recent years to enable them to play a greater role in the delivery of priorities such as nature recovery and addressing the climate emergency.

What plans does the Welsh Government have to build new community hospitals in Wales?

Our Programme for government confirmed investment in a new generation of integrated health and social care centres across Wales, bringing services closer to local communities. In mid Wales, work is continuing with the health board and local authority around the proposed north Powys Well-being development at Newtown.

What action is the Welsh Government taking to tackle gambling-related harm in Wales?

The Welsh Government has established a task and finish group on gambling-related harm. Harm prevention and how support services can be strengthened are areas of focus for this group. The Welsh Government continues to work with the UK Government during their review of the Gambling Act 2005.

Will the First Minister provide an update on Welsh Government efforts to tackle coronavirus in the Caerphilly constituency?

Promoting vaccine take-up, where Caerphilly already has some of the best results amongst younger people in Wales, and deployment of targeted testing are amongst the measures being taken to tackle coronavirus in the Member’s constituency.

What assessment has the First Minister made of the effectiveness of pharmacies administering the COVID-19 vaccine in Wales?

Alongside our vaccination centres and other primary care providers, pharmacies have played an important role in our world-leading vaccination programme; in particular, making the COVID-19 vaccine more accessible in harder-to-reach rural areas of Wales.

What is the Welsh Government's strategy to deliver the decarbonisation of all social housing by 2030?

Together with our public and private sector partners, we will decarbonise social housing, street by street, home by home.  Each home will require its own ‘passport’, which sets out the package of works needed to reduce its carbon emissions, allowing Welsh tenants to play their part in protecting the planet.
