Will the First Minister make a statement on projected housing need in Wales?

Our latest estimates of housing need, published on 13 August 2020, show that on average, between 6,200 and 8,300 additional housing units will be required annually in Wales during 2019-20 to 2023-24 (with a central estimate of 7,400). 52 per cent of this need is market housing and 48 per cent is affordable.

What is the Welsh Government doing to improve air quality in Cardiff Central?

Over £19 million has been awarded to Cardiff Council to deliver an ambitious package of air quality measures. This includes city centre infrastructure works to support healthy and active travel, and reduce polluting vehicle emissions. The funding will also deliver cleaner buses through a retrofit scheme, and ultra low emission taxis.

What are the Welsh Government’s priorities for town centre regeneration?

The priority is securing the long term sustainability of our town and city centres by driving footfall and making them attractive places to be. Our Transforming Towns programme is focussed on improving biodiversity and green infrastructure; repurposing neglected properties; increasing flexible working and living space; and providing access to services and leisure.

What steps is the Welsh Government taking to ensure women's safety in public spaces?

The Welsh Government is committed to ensuring our communities are safe, strong and resilient. We continue to work with our four police forces, our local authorities, the UK Government and our third sector organisations to ensure that women feel safe and are safe in Wales.
