What assurances has the Welsh Government sought from Ineos about the number of jobs they will create in locating to Bridgend and has the Welsh Government included any clawback clauses into any funding support provided to Ineos for if such assurances are not met?

Through the ‘People’ work stream of the Ford Taskforce that I established alongside the UK Government, and through Ford itself, relevant agencies that can provide support for all employees under threat of redundancy are engaged in the ongoing work of helping to secure employment opportunities, such as those which will be created by the Ineos Investment.

An offer of Welsh Government financial assistance is conditional upon a number of project milestones, including number of jobs created. Projects that do not achieve agreed milestones can be subject to clawback clauses.
