Following the finding that music medicine can be as effective as a sedative, will the Minister explain if such treatment is available at each Welsh health board separately, and state how much money the Welsh Government has invested in the specialism during 2017/18 and 2018/19?

The findings were based on a single recently-published clinical trial in the United States. Music medicine as sedation is not offered routinely within NHS Wales at present and it would be for health boards to decide whether to participate in any NHS-based trail or otherwise offer music medicine.
We are continuing to implement and fund our commitment to improve access to psychological therapies, which includes music therapy
