WAQ77184 (e) Tabled on 20/09/2018

Further to WAQ77095, what consideration has been given to establishing a temporary train station to give direct access to the proposed location of the National Eisteddfod and help reduce pressure on pavements and roads?

Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Transport | Answered on 28/09/2018

Temporary stations can be created and are most often used in emergency situations.  A number of factors including planning, regulatory and other issues as well as cost need to be assessed when considering the feasibility of such stations. Transport for Wales will explore a range of options such as increasing service frequency and the provision of shuttle buses in relation to the National Eisteddfod.
