Has the Welsh Government referred the drug Orkambi to the All Wales Medicines Strategy Group for consideration?

The Welsh Government has not referred the drug Orkambi to the All Wales Medicines Strategy Group (AWMSG) for consideration as it is not our role to do so. However, at my request the AWMSG has contacted Vertex Pharmaceuticals regarding new clinical evidence about lumacaftor/ivacaftor (Orkambi®) efficacy and asked if they will be making a submission for appraisal. Vertex Pharmaceuticals are yet to engage with the AWMSG.
