Following the Cabinet Secretary's confirmation that the Hwb+ data can be restored for schools should they require it post contract, what is the process for a school to retrieve any data post the Hwb+ contract, and how long will a school have to wait for it?

As previously outlined, officials have been extensively engaging with schools across Wales to raise awareness around the cessation of Hwb+.  This includes communications to schools, local authorities and regional consortia, highlighting key dates and action points.

In addition, officials have been directly contacting high-usage schools to support them in transitioning to other Hwb tools such as Office 365.  There are also self-help materials available on the help area of Hwb to support schools in transferring any content they wish to keep.

To date there have been no concerns raised by schools.

If a school requires access to Hwb+ data post contract, they will be able to log a support request via the new Hwb service desk for the data to be restored.  The timescales to complete the restore will depend on the quantity of data requested.
