What figures are available on the number of people with learning disabilities in out-of-county housing placements, and what are the estimated additional costs of providing such services out of county?

Data on people with a learning disability placed out of county and associated cost is held by individual local authorities and health boards. However, a national inspection of care and support for adults with a learning disability undertaken in 2015-16 by Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales supported by Healthcare Inspectorate Wales found that 547* people with a learning disability were placed out of county at that time.
