OPIN-2018-0084 Single-use plastics on the Assembly estate (e) Tabled on 17/04/2018

This Assembly:

1. Welcomes that July marks ‘Plastic Free July’, an initiative that challenges people to stop using single-use plastics.

2. Recognises the detrimental impact that single-use plastics have on the environment in Wales.

3. Welcomes the BBC ban on single-use plastics across all of its sites by 2020.

4. Calls on the Assembly Commission to stop using single-use plastics on the Assembly estate in July in recognition of ‘Plastic Free July’, and to start phasing out the use of single-use plastics indefinitely from then on.
