OPIN-2017-0066 Air Pollution (e) Tabled on 28/11/2017

This Assembly:

1. Notes the damaging effect that air pollution has on public health.

2. Welcomes the innovative measures that are being implemented by the UK Government to combat air pollution levels, such as phasing out all diesel and petrol engines by 2040 and the introduction of clean air zones .

3. Urges the Welsh Government to work more closely with local authorities that have breached ‘PM2.5’ air pollution levels.

4. Calls on the Welsh Government to pilot a clean air zone in Cardiff which has been named as one of the worst places in the UK for air pollution.
