OPIN-2017-0065 Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month (e) Tabled on 23/11/2017

This Assembly:
1. Welcomes that November marks Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month;
2. Congratulates charities and supporters on their work to raise awareness of the disease, which has the lowest five-year survival rate of the 20 most common cancers in Wales;
3. Considers it concerning that a 2017 Pancreatic Cancer UK poll found that 35 per cent of UK adults would not be worried if they had a few of the potential symptoms of pancreatic cancer;
4. Calls on the Welsh Government to work with charities, service providers and health professionals to improve awareness, research, diagnosis, treatment and outcomes across Wales.
