National Assembly for Wales

This Assembly:

1. Notes the damaging effect of air pollution on our lungs, and the harmful effects on children’s lungs and those with lung conditions.

2. Notes that nearly 1,300 early deaths per year in Wales can be attributed to air pollution, with five areas recording harmful levels of pollution in 2016.

3. Urges Welsh Government introduce a network of clean-air zones across the most polluting areas, promoting clean and active travel.

4. Urges Welsh Government to support calls for a diesel scrappage scheme and clean air fund as part of the UK Government budget.
