To propose that the National Assembly for Wales
1. Notes:
a) that Wales’s community health councils represent patients' voices in Wales;
b) that CHCs are a forum to ensure that our health boards are accountable at least in part to the patients;
c) the need for health boards to be accountable to a body independent of government
d) the need to strengthen CHCs further
e) that the Scottish CHC is not a model that should be emulated
2. Is concerned that the proposals in the White Paper will undermine and weaken the patients voice in Wales.
