National Assembly for Wales

This Senedd:
1. Notes the final Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service review and recommendations to close Welshpool and Caernarfon air ambulance bases and that public opinion is overwhelmingly against the closures.
2. Believes that the work of the air ambulance in mid and north Wales is vital in providing life-saving emergency treatment and ensuring rapid response times into emergency care.
3. Agrees with dedicated campaigners that swathes of mid and north Wales would receive slower response times from the Wales air ambulance if the review recommendations were agreed.
4. Calls on the Welsh Government to intervene and ensure both bases remain in operation.
