OPIN-2024-0393 Former Allied Steel and Wire workers and their families - time to right a 22-year injustice

This Senedd:
1. Supports former Allied Steel and Wire workers and the families of those who have passed away in their 22 year campaign for pension justice.
2. Strongly disagrees with the UK Government in providing workers with only 90 per cent of their owed pensions, and that due to inflation this is much less.
3. Calls upon the Welsh Government to put pressure on the Minister of State for Pensions to right this blatant injustice.
4. Congratulates the work of the Horizon scandal campaigners who have raised the profile of historic injustices.
5. Calls on the Welsh Government to consider the devolution of pensions.
