National Assembly for Wales

This Senedd:
1. Notes the huge potential of floating offshore wind in the Celtic Sea.
2. Is committed to test and demonstration sites, such as the Llŷr 1 and 2 projects, given the key role they will play in:
a) acting as a pathfinder to accelerating floating offshore wind development;
b) providing the opportunity to better understand the benefits and challenges and identify opportunities to enhance the local environment; and
c) maximising the local supply chain and employment opportunities.
3. Will work to help unlock any delay which would impact the delivery of these projects in helping to meet the Government’s commitment to renewable energy.
