National Assembly for Wales

This Assembly:
1) Welcomes World First Aid Day on 14th September
2) Takes note of a study commissioned by the British Red Cross highlighting that 89 per cent of children surveyed in Wales said first aid is one of the most important lessons they could learn at school
3) Believes that all young people should be equipped with the knowledge to save a life by teaching first aid education once a year, every year
4) Notes that first aid education is not mandatory and encourages the Welsh Government to include such education as a statutory requirement in the 2022 curriculum.
