National Assembly for Wales

This Assembly:
1. Notes improvements to respiratory care since 2014 through the Respiratory Health Delivery Plan.
2. Notes that annually nearly 48,000 years of healthy life and nearly 31,500 years of life are lost due to respiratory disease.
3. Notes a 22 per cent increase in emergency hospital admissions for respiratory patients.
4. Notes the publication of the Taskforce for Lung Health report by the British Lung Foundation based on best practice of respiratory care.
5. Calls on Welsh Government to consider the recommendations to ensure that respiratory care continues to be at the cutting edge of patient care.
