Will the First Minister make a statement on the Valleys Regional Park project?

The Valleys Regional Park continues to focus on outcomes within the prospectus published in October 2018. Proposals to take forward the Park have been submitted and we are close to agreeing arrangements for governance and delivery. The Deputy Minister for Economy and Transport will make announcements on these before summer recess.

What recent discussions has the First Minister had with the Minister for Health and Social Services about management structures in the health service?

My discussions with the Minister for Health and Social Services on delivering a health and care system fit for the future includes the plans for establishing a stronger ‘national executive’ for NHS Wales, as recommended by the cross party Parliamentary Review.

Will the First Minister provide an update on Welsh Government involvement in the process of resolving the dispute relating to the suspension of senior executives at Caerphilly Council?

The Welsh Government’s role is limited to nominating a Designated Independent Person to investigate, where parties are unable to agree. That responsibility has been discharged. It is for the parties themselves to reach a resolution.
