Will the First Minister make a statement on the effectiveness of the help-to-buy scheme?

The Help to Buy—Wales scheme has helped almost 8,500 people purchase a new home. Austerity has made it difficult for people to save the money needed to buy a home. This scheme makes home ownership a reality for people who could not otherwise afford it.

Will the First Minister make a statement on Welsh Government support for small and medium-sized house builders?

In the last two years, the Welsh Government has provided £110 million in schemes to support small and medium-sized enterprise house building, which will be recycled to create an investment of £630 million. This will support the delivery of 7,100 homes.

What is the Welsh Government doing to ensure schools in the Rhondda have enough funding to provide pupils with a good education?

Local authorities are responsible for school funding in Wales. Councils set their spending priorities for the services they provide. How much an authority sets aside for school budgets is a matter for the authority. Education funding remains a key priority for this Government, in spite of continued austerity.
