3. Cyflwyniad, Ymddiheuriadau, Dirprwyon a Datgan Buddiannau
3. Introductions, Apologies, Substitutions and Declarations of Interest

Good morning. Bore da. Welcome to today's meeting of the Equality, Local Government and Communities Committee. We've received apologies from the Chair, John Griffiths. Therefore, in accordance with Standing Order 17.22, I call for nominations for a temporary Chair for today's meeting. Can I ask for nominations, please?

Thank you. Are there any other nominations? I see that there are no other nominations, I therefore declare that Dawn Bowden has been appointed temporary Chair, and I invite her to take the chair.

Penodwyd Dawn Bowden yn Gadeirydd dros dro.

Dawn Bowden was appointed temporary Chair.

Thank you very much for that, and thank you, colleagues. So if we can move straight on to item 3—introductions, apologies, substitutions and declarations of interest—are there any declarations of interest? No. We have had apologies, as the clerk has already indicated, from John Griffiths, the Chair, and we've also had apologies from Leanne Wood, and there are no substitutions for Leanne or John.

So, just to report that the National Assembly operates through the medium of Welsh and English, and there are headsets for simultaneous translation on channel 1 and for sound amplification on channel 2. As this is a formal public meeting, Members do not need to operate the microphones. And in the event of an emergency, an alarm will sound and ushers will direct everyone to the nearest safe exit site and assembly point.

4. Dilyniant i Ddiogelwch Tân mewn Adeiladau Uchel Iawn: Sesiwn Graffu gyda’r Gweinidog
4. Fire Safety in High-rise Buildings Follow-up: Ministerial Scrutiny Session

If we can move on to item 4, which is the fire in high-rise buildings follow-up ministerial scrutiny session—unfortunately the Minister for Housing and Local Government is unable to attend this morning due to illness, so the session is therefore postponed and will be rearranged for another meeting.

5. Papurau i'w Nodi
5. Papers to Note

If I can move colleagues on to item 5, which is papers to note—we have two papers to note. Paper 2 is correspondence sent to the Llywydd regarding the Local Government and Elections (Wales) Bill timetable, and paper 3 is correspondence to the future generations commissioner regarding the committee's involvement in the future generations report. Are Members content to note those papers?

Okay, well, if everybody's happy with that, then I can close the meeting and remind Members that, on 27 November, the committee will be holding an evidence session with the Minister for Housing and Local Government on the Local Government and Elections (Wales) Bill. Thank you all very much.

Daeth y cyfarfod i ben am 11:11.

The meeting ended at 11:11.
