1. Cyflwyniad, ymddiheuriadau, dirprwyon a datgan buddiannau
1. Introductions, apologies, substitutions and declarations of interest

Can I welcome members of the public and Members to the External Affairs and Additional Legislation Committee this afternoon? A bit of housekeeping first. Can I remind Members that it is bilingual? If you require translation from Welsh to English, that's available on the headphones via channel 1. However, if you require amplification, that's also available on the headphones—that's channel 0. We're not scheduled for any fire alarm today, so if one does take place, please follow the directions of the ushers to a safe location. Can I remind Members to switch their mobile phone to silent or off to make sure it does not interfere with the broadcasting equipment? Does any Member declare an interest in the events of today's session? No.

We have received apologies from Joyce Watson and David Melding, and Suzy Davies will be attending as a substitute for David Melding. Can I also inform Members that, obviously, as result of Michelle Brown now becoming an independent Assembly Member, she is no longer a Member of this committee, and we await the Business Committee's decision as to who her replacement will be?

2. Papurau i'w nodi
2. Papers to note

Okay. We'll move on to the next item on the agenda: papers to note. The first paper to note is the supplementary legislative consent memorandum on the Agriculture Bill, which has been laid. Members have seen copies of the LCM, and we do notice that the Government indicates that that may require an additional memoranda, if the House of Lords make changes that were not in place at the time of writing of the LCM. Are Members content to note that at this point in time?

Thank you. And the second paper is a report from the House of Lords European Union Committee, 'Beyond Brexit: how to win friends and influence people', which is very much linked to some of the work the committee has done on its future relationship with the EU. Are Members content to note the paper? If you haven't had a chance, I suggest you all have a good read of it because it actually highlights some of the issues we've also discussed. Are Members content to note that? Thank you very much.

Item 3: motion under Standing Order 17.42(vi) and (ix) to resolve to exclude the public from the remainder of today's meeting.
