Cofnodir y trafodion yn yr iaith y llefarwyd hwy ynddi yn y pwyllgor. Yn ogystal, cynhwysir trawsgrifiad o’r cyfieithu ar y pryd. Lle mae cyfranwyr wedi darparu cywiriadau i’w tystiolaeth, nodir y rheini yn y trawsgrifiad.
The proceedings are reported in the language in which they were spoken in the committee. In addition, a transcription of the simultaneous interpretation is included. Where contributors have supplied corrections to their evidence, these are noted in the transcript.
Dechreuodd y cyfarfod am 14:50.
The meeting began at 14:50.
I welcome Members to this afternoon's meeting of the Public Accounts Committee. Normal housekeeping rules apply. Headsets are available for translation. Please ensure phones are on silent. In an emergency, follow the ushers.
We've had a number of apologies today: from Vikki Howells and Rhianon Passmore. Do any Members have any declarations of interest they'd like to make? No. Okay.
Item 2, and papers to note. First of all are the minutes of the meeting held on 12 March. Okay, those are noted. Secondly, we've received an update from Dr Andrew Goodall, his six-monthly update on NHS waiting times for elective care and orthopaedic surgeries. Progress is being made in both areas. I suggest that we ask for a further update to reflect on the forthcoming figures due at the end of March in the last part of the spring term. Lee.
Do the auditor general and his team have any views on the letter?
I find it a bit surprising that it's come now. You might as well have waited another month and got the end-March position. We're doing follow-up work on out-patients through the various health boards, and we're also doing some follow-up work on the orthopaedics, so, later on, we'll be able to reflect what some of the comments are here in light of our own audit activity.
So, we wait now until we get the next set of figures and then reflect them. Okay. Good.
